Bestie Book Club Book Review: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

Hi besties!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with reading our very first Bestie Book Club book, as voted for by YOU - The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman!

We had a really fun discussion live in the Bestie Facebook group on the 20th February.

A lot of us already had this book on our to be read pile, and it winning the book club poll was the nudge we needed to read it!

Here’s what the Bestie Book Club had to say about The Thursday Murder Club.

“I thought the characters were absolutely amazing. The plots were maybe not as good but still interesting”

“The twists and how it all comes together at the end was brilliant”

“I was really unsure at the start, it's not my usual style and took me a while to get into, but by the end I was really hooked! I love the characters so much, Elizabeth weirdly kinda reminds me of my Granny. The twists were amazing, I think that's what really got me hooked”

“I enjoyed the short chapters and the different perspectives.”

“It’s what I would call a ‘nice’ murder mystery. Something I could read happily on a beach! Thoroughly enjoyed!”

The characters were definitely the highlight of the book amongst the besties, and the twists and turns were enjoyed too!

Lots of us decided we’d like to read the rest of the series after this book, some besties had already started book two :) 

We also had a lovely discussion over who might play the main characters in a TV/film adaption of the book, and about our fav cakes!
