Our favourite colour is rainbow, but we also love being green!
Here's what we're currently doing to help the planet:
- Our T-shirts & Tote bags:
We're super proud of our t-shirts. They are:
➤ 100% ORGANIC
➤ Certified by the Fair Wear Foundation
➤ Size-Inclusive – sizes 2XS to 5XL
➤ 100% Vegan – including the inks (something which is sadly often missed on “vegan” tees)
➤ Fully plastic-free production (including the inks)
➤ 100% carbon neutral production, AND carbon neutral delivery in the UK
➤ We plant a tree for each t-shirt made
- Our Paper Products
Our paper products are made from FSC-Certified Paper. The Forest Stewardship Council certifies that a paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fibre, that paper earns the FSC label.
- Packing your orders
We keep the environment in mind with our packing, all the packing materials we use are either paper, card, recycled bubble wrap, or are re-used from deliveries we have received.
We aim to use just enough to keep your goodies safe, and create a lovely unboxing experience, but not so much as to be wasteful. Our brown paper tape is recycled, and recyclable too!
To protect from water damage we bag orders in DPD eco bags. These bags are made 80% reclaimed materials, and are 100% recyclable. They also have a double sealing strip inside so you can re-use the bag, giving it a second life.
Some products (like washi tape) are packed in plastic to make sure they arrive with you in perfect condition, however we've taken away all unnecessary plastic, and use paper (or nothing at all, in its place).
- Our Small Batch Production
As a micro business, we product goodies in small batches, and only as much we know the besties will want. This means no over production, that could end up not being sold, and contribute to landfill.
For our t-shirts, and other larger scale projects we run crowd funders, which helps us make just enough.
Wherever possible we work with other small businesses to source our supplies, and as our production partners. We love working with businesses who share our values.
- Our Subscription Box - Tiny Hug Club
We're proud that this subscription box is pretty much 100% free from single use plastics, every month.
Occasionally a product will be wrapped in plastic (like our washi tapes) to make sure it arrives with you in perfect condition, however most months boxes will contain zero single use plastic.
- Our Delivery
All UK mainland website orders are shipped with DPD.
We love all that DPD are doing to be the UK's most sustainable delivery company. Every 3 months they email us a carbon certificate, letting us know how many parcels were delivered on all-electric vehicles. Read more about their Green Initiatives here.
All offshore / remote area / subscription boxes & international orders are shipped with Royal Mail.

- Our Office
At Sugar & Sloth HQ we try to do our bit for the planet. We all have our own real mugs and glasses, no paper cups, or water cooler plastic here!
We applied to the council and got our very own recycling bin, as our business park facilities weren't up to scratch.
Now we can easily recycle all our paper off-cuts that can't be re-used, as well as any glass or plastic from our lunches (yum!).
We try and be environmentally friendly in how we get to the office, Anita walks, and Holly car pools, other team members walk or take public transport where possible.
We know we can do more, and are always looking for new ways to improve.
